We've been so busy this summer we haven't had time to keep up with our blog! Our schedule has included amazing trips, weddings and good laughs with family and friends. In June we flew back to Colorado. Kristen spent time camping with her horsies.
Stopping for a grass snack
Very fun trail ride!
Cool dead tree in the middle of a meadow

Determined to make it to the desert
MMI canyon in north Arches National Park
Sweet ampitheater
It was a very hot hike out
Jeeping Poison Spider
Canoeing the Green River through Canyonlands National Park. Figured the best way to experience the desert in the summer would be on the water.
Hangin in the lounger
This was our first campsite. Cole had decided to only bring a hammock to sleep in. He quickly realized that there were not many trees and ended up sleeping in the bug net tent. In the middle of the night the winds picked up the tent and we almost lost it. haha
Beginning of Day 2
Cliff jumping at lunch, yay!
Nice form
Campsite #2
In the morning we found frogs underneath the canoes.
Beginning of Day 3
Cliff dwellings. It's crazy to think that people were able to live out here in the canyon walls.
Canyoneering in a side canyon.
Cole blazing the trail.
Jay's first rappel.
Cliff jumping at our Campsite #3
Camp #3
Bird nests
Nate is walking with the party barge.
Awesome sandbar
Cole can walk on water.
Cliff jumping at camp #4
Decided to put the bug net in the water to stay cool.
Turned out to be a great idea.
Day four was the hottest. This was at the end of the float, just before Cataract Canyon. The dollhouse is at the top of the canyon.
Cole finally found some trees for his hammock.
Campsite #5
The next morning the riverboat picked us up and took us up the Colorado River.
Sunset at Slickrock
From Utah we drove back to Marble for Kevin and Kalee's wedding reception. It was so nice to catch up with our good friends. You all need to come visit us in Alaska!!!
We drove up to the Crystal Mill and jumped in the water to cool off.
If you look close you can see a kayaker coming over the waterfall.
Awesome aspen grove. We drove through Kebler pass with Andrew and Miranda and had lunch in Crested Butte. Sadly we couldn't stay longer.
