Happy Thanksiving!!

Hope everyone had a good thanksgiving. Ours was cold. The temperature has been steadily dropping and we've had many nights get towards -20 F. Then there was 30 mph hours winds a few days which made for some chilly days. Fairbanks broke 5 temperature records in 8 days. I guess it has been unseasonably cold for Oct./Nov.
Anyway here are some pictures of our cold and dimly lit state.
Snowshoeing around the property.

Driving home from work.

These meat popsicles should be in our mouths by friday.

Even in the frosty arctic lucy is ever-vigilant to kill something.
Even with frozen eyebrows.
Went on a snowshow hike and really wished we had cross country skis to cover more ground.

High noon! soak up that sunshine

On our way to up to our cabin on hatcher's pass for thanksgiving.
It was kind of a trudge down the hill to our cabin.
But it was very cozy.

Thanksgiving dinner! Lucy has her thanksgiving sweater on too.

Shrimp cocktail, what a thanksgiving treat.

I think we know who is the pack leader here.
Heading out for the day.

A lotttt of work hiking up, and just as much fun coming down.

Arctic Lucy.

Dinner at the lodge.

Quite the sunset at about 4:00
Lucy admiring the view.

The inversion means its much colder in the valley than the 0 F up here.

This is about where the thermostat quit working on the frosty jeep. It took us 2 hours to limp it home mile by mile.

One more just in case you weren't cold yet. Stay warm cya later!
